The village of Beadlam lies approximately 3 miles east of Helmsley with a nice village community, a public house, 2 takeaway outlets and is on a bus route to the nearby Market towns of Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley. The award winning Beadlam Grange Farm shop, located approx 1 mile to the west, has a first class butchers counter and sells all the usual every day products like milk, vegetables, cheese, bread, newspapers etc. The village is just outside the National Park and has two excellent schools, namely Nawton County Primary and Ryedale School.
Gale Barn, as it is known, was formerly a joiner's workshop , converted in 1977 to create an individual, family home with rooms of generous proportions and an overall feel that is light, airy and by no means 'pokey'. Whilst this is a property that is very much ready to move into, kitchen and bathroom fittings are a little dated, as is the decor, but there is lots of potential here for someone to put their own mark on the property with a relatively low outlay (depending of course on one's taste and budget).
Outside, whilst the property fronts the street there is a courtyard style garden that runs the full length of the house and once again with some creative planting makes a very lovely area that captures the sun in the afternoon and early evening. There is access from the footpath at the front, down the side of the property to the rear garden.
