Eastgate is a tree lined avenue that forms part of the road running towards the centre of Pickering from the Eastern side of the town. It is one of the older streets and as such has an assortment of property type along it; many of them being stone terraced cottages and town houses. 113 Eastgate is a 'Little Gem' of a double fronted cottage with an associated side passageway. It fronts Eastgate with a Northerly aspect and boasts a lovely south facing court yard garden to its rear.

Inside, the cottage has been tastefully decorated and the current owner has reconfigured the accommodation that is spread over two floors. The Entrance has a wide staircase rising from it and doorways either side to access the living room and kitchen. The latter has a range of fitted storage units under a woodblock work surface, a Belfast sink and room for a breakfast table. The living room has an exposed brick fireplace with a flagged hearth and again room for a dining table. Both these reception rooms are light, airy and have surprisingly high ceilings for a cottage of its type. Upstairs there are two good double bedrooms the master having an en suite shower room. The other bedroom crosses a splendid, spacious landing to reach the house bathroom.

Outside the south facing court yard is mostly flagged for low maintenance. There is a central bed with espalier apple trees trained along wrought iron railings, cleverly placed raised beds and various vantage points to sit in the sun. The courtyard also has the benefits of an outside 'Gardening Loo' and a wonderful 'Garden Room'. A gated passage gives access to Eastgate and from the garden there is a very short walk to an allocated parking space that is accessed down a drive from Outgang Road.
