Hutton-le-Hole is a popular village on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park where a community of traditional stone properties are grouped around wide open greens and the sheep graze freely. The village lies just three miles north of the A170 giving quick and easy access to the local market towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering and Helmsley.

Fir Tree Cottage is one of the first properties that you see on the Western side as you drive down the hill into the village. It is a detached stone cottage under a pantile roof and is believed to originally date back to the mid 1700's. Since then and over more recent times the property has been extended and modernised to increase the accommodation sizeably. One of its most impressive features however is its glorious rear garden  which is not only well stocked but also has the backdrop of open fields and woodland. To its front, Hutton Beck babbles past on its meandering path through the village green.

The accommodation has a wealth of character that starts in a front reception hall with a log burning stove and a turned stairway raising to three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a study that could also offer itself as a fourth ground floor bedroom. A sitting room is located to the rear of the cottage with double doors that open onto the rear patio and garden. The kitchen has been recently replaced and has a useful utility and cloakroom off it as well as a separate dining room. Fir tree Cottage has also recently had its secondary glazing replaced and is heated with an LPG boiler.

Outside as well as the gravelled parking area there is a double garage (22'4" x 20'8"), a green house and a number of timber framed sheds. The rear is mostly down to lawn but there is a kitchen garden, patio area and areas of more mature trees.
