The Stables, as the name might suggest, were once outbuildings associated with the former Rectory of Thornton le Dale which is still located on its North Eastern boundary. The detached stone buildings were converted and apportioned a sizeable plot of mature garden to its southern side. Since its conversion the property has had little cosmetic work done to it and a purchaser is likely to want to modernise and potentially reconfigure the accommodation to modern day tastes.

It currently offers a sizeable sitting room with an open fire and overlooks the garden, a separate dining room and a kitchen that is large enough to dine in. Off the entrance hall there is also a cloakroom, study and store room with stairs leading to (currently) two bedrooms and a bathroom. However off one of the bedrooms is access to a quite sizeable loft room with a large central window that again overlooks the garden. The Stables also has a good sized, integrated garage that might well lend itself to being incorporated into the house to increase its accommodation. This option might be further encouraged by its abundance of outside space offering potential options to erect separate garaging if required (subject to planning consent).

The Stables is accessed down its own drive from Rectory Lane with its lovely, secluded, south facing garden greeting you as you turn in. Down mostly to lawn but with a number of mature trees within it, including a delightful copper beech, its garden is an enviable asset. There is a private path between the old rectory and the new rectory leading to the A170 and church belonging to the Stables.
