The delightful village of Harome is situated south of the main A170 Thirsk to Scarborough road, on the southern fringe of the North York Moors National Park. Harome is a most sought-after village situated just two miles South East of the thriving market town of Helmsley. The local pub is the thatched 'Star Inn', which is famed for a Mitchelin starred restaurant. The village itself is surrounded by open countryside, flanked by the Howardian Hills yet is just a short drive to the amenities found in Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside. The road links of the A170 and A19 offer excellent access to the city of York, the North and East Coast.

Hallgarth is a detached stone fronted village property that fronts the main street in the centre of the village. In the late 60’s it was extended in brick to offer an additional kitchen and bedroom that overlook a generous rear garden. The current owner moved into the property some 6 years ago and in that time has modernised it with a significant programme of refurbishment that includes rewiring, new windows, central heating, new kitchen and bathroom and general cosmetic improvements. The property has two front reception rooms, a recently fitted kitchen with pantry and a rear lobby with a ground floor cloakroom. To the first floor there are three bedrooms (two doubles and a single) and a house bathroom.

Outside Hallgarth has a private gravel drive and parking which also gains access to a very useful range of outbuildings that have been utilised as workshop and storage but that might just as easily be used as garaging or ancillary accommodation with relevant planning consents. This is approximately 23 yards long and has a lean to greenhouse at its end. The secluded rear garden is down to lawn with herbaceous beds and a step up into a productive cottage garden with fruit and vegetables.
